About the Training Log

Every training day, year by year. Light = training. Dark = track session. Gold = race. A scribbled training camp label spans the weeks I was on camp; 🏁 marks where a new training station began. A book icon marks a diary entry.

How my running journey started

My running journey started when my sister told me in 2019 that her track group is a lot of fun. Having played table tennis 3 times a week so far I decided to give it a try. I quickly wanted more — more practice, more competition. That is when I started to move into a bigger training setup.

I got thrown into a distance group and saw myself racing from 1500m up to 10k. But I decided I wanted to run the 800m — really fast, but not suffering for a very long time.

The better I got, the more I realized that people who are really good at something usually do 100% that one thing. I felt drained between studies and sport, and it started to feel like they did not fit together. That is when I thought about going abroad and trying it in an environment built for combining university and high-level sport.
