How I discovered Yoga
I discovered yoga at the end of 2025.
When I was at the College in Texas our Saturday was the day to take off or do some recovery. I went to go to the gym with my friends but I did not want to do exercises on the machines, I also did not want to do core or just stretch. I somehow got the idea to try Yoga from this YouTube Channel I found. It suggested to be a recovery activity. And it was amazing! The more I did it, read and understood, the more I liked it.
It combines many elements that I think are great for runners:
- Strength
- Core
- Breathwork
- Meditation
- Stretching
- Movement quality
- Mindfulness
- Relaxation
It just felt like something that perfectly fits me. Also with respect to my gymnastics background, the work I needed to do in stretching and the combination of these elements.
