Breakthrough
I became U23 German Champ. And 3rd at the men’s German Championships overall.
A year ago I was struggling to feel like I belonged in this sport. Now I’m on the podium at nationals. The race was clean, tactical, and I just had legs when it mattered.
I spoke with people from Göttingen. It definitely planted a seed.
I need time to process the last weeks.
The Göttingen idea is becoming more concrete. I am tired of being in a big city. There is always noise.
Time to recharge. I’m heading to Norway for vacation. Clear the mind, fill up on nature, come back hungry for the next chapter.
First training session in Göttingen.
I’m genuinely happy right now. The training group, the setup — it feels right. People are so supportive and I like the group dynamic.
What I think is important: to stand 100% behind every single training session. Not just do it, but own it — understand why, believe in it. In Munich, I often did sessions I didn’t fully agree or understand. It is better to have an open dialoge. Coach explains, asks, adapts. Great!
Today was my first time at the indoor track in Hannover and it was really cool. Drove there with our team. The key session was a 400m and I ran it in 50.5 — which I think is genuinely solid and motivating for this stage.
I thought about this recently: Being truly great at something means, how fast you recover, how quickly you get back to fitness after illness, whether you still do the routine when you have no motivation or the conditions are bad, how fast you regain control over yourself after acting unconsciously. It’s not about how good you are when things are going well — it’s about how stable you are when things are going badly.
